Bowen Therapy / Myoneuromodulation:

Advanced Neuromuscular Bodywork for Tension, Mobility & Ease

Bowen Therapy, also known as a form of neuromuscular bodywork, uses gentle, precise movements across muscles, tendons and connective tissues.

With one year of advanced training and specialized credentials in this modality through Louise Tremblay/AITMC, Michele uses a carefully structured approach designed to provide targeted sensory input and encourage greater ease in the body's movement patterns.

Unlike traditional massage, Bowen techniques are generally performed using specific, focused movements with periods of rest between techniques, allowing you to remain an active participant in the treatment experience.

What May Be Supported

Bowen Therapy may be particularly appealing for clients experiencing:

Muscular tension
Restricted or uncomfortable movement
General musculoskeletal discomfort
Areas of persistent tightness
Postural tension
Repetitive-use discomfort
The desire for a gentle, focused approach to bodywork
What to Expect

Your session begins with an individualized assessment of your current concerns, movement patterns and areas of tension.

You will remain comfortably positioned while specific Bowen techniques are applied to selected areas of the body.

The movements are gentle and precise rather than forceful. Depending on your individual presentation, the treatment may involve periods of stillness between techniques.

Your response to Bowen Therapy is individual. Some people notice changes in comfort or movement during or shortly after treatment, while others experience a more gradual response.
